Printer settings and computer dependency

I inherited a piece of code that worked with PrinterSwitch.
The code stored Printer settings for every PC, Printer, Task combinations.
So, for example:
   PC-1 Printer-1 Invoice
   PC-2 Printer-1 Invoice
   PC-1 Printer-2 Summary
     :

Q: For PrinterSwitch, can we use the captured setting: 'PC-1 Printer-1 Invoice' for PC-2? - i.e. will the captured setting depend on computer?

Thanks.

    Hi Duncan,

It depends. If the computer are using the same OS, same printer driver etc, then it can work. But if a factor is different between the 2 machines, then the print can fail.
We always recommend to make separate setups, but you can always try it and see how it works out.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Kind regards,
    Jasper

    Jasper,

Thank for the reply. I didn't think about the printer driver - I guess that totally make sense.

    Thanks.
