We recently upgraded to PrinterSwitch v3 and Filemaker 15. We deleted all our stored printer settings and restored them. Whenever we try to print using a stored print setup and printer we receive the following error. "No pages from the document were selected to be printed."

I just tried the same using Filemaker 14 and am receiving the same error message. Just to be clear I have a lot of deployed users with this solution and prior to the v3 update had zero problems.

    Hi Jason,

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with the update.
Could you open the PrSw Capture-Restore.fmp12 example file, capture and setup and then print from the example?

    Does that work?

    Kind regards,
    Jasper

    PrSw Capture-Restore.fmp12 example file works.

Attached is the script I use before printing. I also forgot to mention earlier that we haven't had any problems printing on Windows 7, 8 and 10 with the same file and Filemaker 15.

I've performed additional testing and when I switch back to Filemaker 14 and use the old v2.2 plugin everything prints correctly. Switching back to the new v3 plugin again causes the problem described above.

    Hi Jason,

Could you try to print before and after the following line in your script?
    Set Variable [ $_PrSw_Toggle_Print_Dialog; Value:PrSw_PrintDialog( "disable" ) ]

What is the result if you do that?

    Kind regards,
    Jasper

I found the problem. In our printing script we issue

PrSw_SetPrintCollate(1) which I know doesn't do anything on the mac but its always been in there because its used on our windows clients. When I skip this command everything works correctly.

    Hi Jason,

Indeed, that option is only for Windows computers. If you still want to use that function on Windows, you could do a test for the platform first and only execute the function if your on a Windows platform.

    I'm happy everything works again.

    Have a nice day!

    Kind regards,
    Jasper
