Windows Update for Amyuni

Since a little while back, I've started noticing that I get Amyuni updates are listed under my optional Windows 7 updates.

RIght now, that item is called "AMYUNI Technologies - Printers - Amyuni Document Converter 450", Released April 2011 and published 5/15/2011.

First of all, I thought that was the version included with PrinterSwitch 2.1? If so, any idea why I get a prompt to update it?

And secondly, if there is ever an update to a version newer than the one PrinterSwitch was designed for, and that update gets installed, how will this impact the PrinterSwitch plugin's use of the driver? Is there any way to "protect" the driver so that I can be sure to avoid compatibility issues?
My main concern is for clients/general users who either don't control update installs or just automatically install any updates. Unfortunately, that is a very common scenario...

    Hi David,

Version 4.5 is indeed the one shipped with PrinterSwitch 2.1. It could, however be a small update you are prompted for.

We only upgrade the PDF driver with new releases of our plug-in.

Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, there is no way to stop the update prompt to appear.
It should not normally be an issue, however, as a major new release of the Amyuni driver would not be available free of charge.

    Best regards,

    Luk
