Possible to define how many entries should be printed?

Is it possible to define how many entries in a found set should be printed (only the actuel entry or all entries in the found set)? I tried this on Mac, but it does not seem to work. Picking the correct printer and papertray works all right.
Background: since MacOS X 10.5 FileMaker has problems to print with settings saved in scripts.

We are aware of a conflict with PrinterSwitch 2.0 and FileMaker Pro 11, where FM is no longer allowing record set selection if PrinterSwitch is loaded.

We hope to have an updated version available by early next month.

We have just posted a beta update of PrinterSwitch for both Mac and Windows

    Download the beta from:
    Mac installer: http://myfmbutler.com/downloads/printerswitch_mac_2_0_0_6_beta.dmg
    Mac plug-in: http://myfmbutler.com/downloads/printerswitch_mac_2_0_0_6_plugin.zip
    Windows installer: http://myfmbutler.com/downloads/printerswitch_win_2_0_0_5_beta.zip
    Windows plug-in: http://myfmbutler.com/downloads/printerswitch_win_2_0_0_5_plugin.zip

    What's new ?

    • Solves an issue where the "Print Setup" script step was not working properly
    • Fixed bug with FileMaker 11 record selection dialog - when using capture and restore, you can now determine whether to print the "Current record" or "all "Records being browsed"" by using "Specify print options" in the "Print" script step. When using a restore, PrinterSwitch will only use the FileMaker record selection data defined in the "Specify print options" - all other (FileMaker 11) printer information will be ignored
    • [Mac OS X] Fixed bug with manual printing and "Save as PDF". You can now create PDFs manually, even when PrinterSwitch has selected a printer. You can now even capture and restore "Save as PDF…", although the PDF name is not variable.
    • [Windows] (Hopefully) solved privilege related issues on Windows 7, Vista and Server 2008.

Thanks for sending me the information about the beta. Unfortunately it doesn't solve my problem with defining how many entries should be printed. It always prints all entries, even though I define otherwise in setting up the printer. Any ideas?
    Best regards

With this update, if you capture a printer setting first, then use the "Specify print options" in the Print script step, where you define "Current record", then when printing with that restored printer only the current record should be printed.

Can you send us a test file that demonstrates the problem ?

It turns out this may be a bug in FM11v1: see also this forum thread

"We've tracked out problems down to Presets also. If we change from a preset to the standard setting the Records Being Browsed and Current Record options return. If use a preset again they eventually disappear again. We are currently going to delete all presets and reconfigure new presets and see if that solves it."
