Hello....since installing the plugin today, I have not been able to print to PDF using Filemaker. As soon as I choose "print to PDF" in the print dialog, the printer is sent the job. I never get the dialog asking me to name the file and choose a location. This only happens in Filemaker Pro. I have tried FMPA 10 and 11....both are having this issue. I had used the pdf printing without issue just prior to installing the new print switch plugin. I had been using the old one without issue on FMPA 10.

I am running 10.6.2 OS and 10.0v3 FMP10 as well as the pre release of FMP11 Advanced.

I have tried deleting my filemaker preferences, running Cocktail, restarting my computer....nothing is resolving this issue.

Do I need to reinstall FMP?? I MUST have this PDF feature.....I need the native feature from OSX.....the plugin feature is a nice option...but not critical like the native feature

I have a cross platform developers license for PrintSwitch plugin (last version prior to 2.0)

You can now download version from our web site that fixes the "Save as PDF…" issue:

    Download from

You are now able to use "Save as PDF…" again.

Keep in mind the following FAQ, though:

We have just posted a beta update of PrinterSwitch for both Mac and Windows

    Download the beta from:
    Mac installer:
    Mac plug-in:
    Windows installer:
    Windows plug-in:

    What's new ?

    • Solves an issue where the "Print Setup" script step was not working properly
    • Fixed bug with FileMaker 11 record selection dialog - when using capture and restore, you can now determine whether to print the "Current record" or "all "Records being browsed"" by using "Specify print options" in the "Print" script step. When using a restore, PrinterSwitch will only use the FileMaker record selection data defined in the "Specify print options" - all other (FileMaker 11) printer information will be ignored
    • [Mac OS X] Fixed bug with manual printing and "Save as PDF". You can now create PDFs manually, even when PrinterSwitch has selected a printer. You can now even capture and restore "Save as PDF…", although the PDF name is not variable.
    • [Windows] (Hopefully) solved privilege related issues on Windows 7, Vista and Server 2008.
