Hello Koen,

I am using CM version 6.0.1.768 on OSX 10.15.4 2,3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9. FMS v18.0.3.319, FMPA 18.0.3.317
This a a new machine (16 inch laptop) and not all quirks are familiar yet, but I do have regular OS crashes when I close my FM developer files, either running on this server on FMS or running on one of the other LAN servers with FMS.

I have not found a conclusive cause yet, but one combination is reproducible: closing FMPA when ClipManager is open.
Not wanting to blame CM, but have you had similar reports? Next time this happens I will collect a crash log and send it to you if that would be helpful.

    Hi Peter,

I have a couple of questions.
Did you have installed the Clip Manager Helper plug-in?
Which version of the Plug-in is installed?
Do you have other plug-ins installed?
If you disable the plug-in, do you experience the same problem?

A crash log of the FileMaker Client could help.

Our plug-in makes use of a technique, called swizzling. A common technique used by a lot of plug-in vendors like MBS and others. If swizzling is not stopped correctly by a plug-in, it could crash all other swizzled processes (of other plug-ins as wel).
A combination of plug-ins could be causing the issue.

    My answers between your questions:

Did you have installed the Clip Manager Helper plug-in?
    •• Yes

Which version of the Plug-in is installed?
    •• 3.0.0.24

Do you have other plug-ins installed?
    •• yes
    2empowerFM DeveloperAssist 3.41
    2empowerFM Parent v2.66
    360Works ScriptMaster v5.3
    BaseElements v4.1.2
    SuperContainerCompanion Plugin v2.9516

If you disable the plug-in, do you experience the same problem?
•• Haven’t seen it yet, but when I enable the plugin again, I cannot reproduce it anymore.

A crash log of the FileMaker Client could
•• It is not generated, as it is a total OSX crash

•• Since I cannot reproduce it now that I switched plugins off/on, let’s wait and see if I can connect it to something else.
Will keep you posted if I can find a pattern, thanks so far

    Hi Peter,

Thank you for the update. I never witnessed a complete crash of macOS. I have only seen crashes of the client.
2EmpowerFM makes use of Swizzling as wel. You could try with this combination.
