Hi there

A client is having issues with AutoSender not communicating with FMS, via XML or JDBC. I can successfully open an 'xml' URL in a web browser and retrieve results, but AutoSender cannot seem to do so. When using JDBC it reports a 'unit format error, connection closed'

Can you give me any advice?

Thanks

    Hi Matt,

Which version of FileMaker Server do you have?
AutoSender 2.5.5 supports FileMaker Server 10 (Advanced) or lower
AutoSender 2.0 supports FileMaker Server 9 (Advanced) or lower

The lastest version of AutoSender 3.1, supports FileMaker Server 12, 11 and 10.

Meanwhile can you send us the AutoSender log files?

    Best regards,

    Koen

    Hi Koen

    Thanks for your response.

It's FileMaker Server Advanced 9 (all patches up to date)

Here's an excerpt from the AutoSender log file (it's currently at 25MB and repeats the following over and over). Note that I've substituted the actual database name with '**********':

Hmm, looks like it stripped the asterisks. Assume that there is a valid database name wherever a blank appears above...

    Hi Matt,

For JDBC you need to use the port "2399" instead of 80.
I hope this helps to solve your problem.

    Best regards,

    Koen

    Thanks Koen

That solved it, thanks! Although we still can't get the xml interface working, which was why we had to switch to JDBC…

However, it is now sending emails again so the client is happy.

    Regards

    Matt
