I was checking the FAQ for problems with entering the WebViewer (fmURLscript priv set is allowed) and noticed there is a v1.6
I have 1.5. Is there a log file with differences? or can you send me the latest version?

    Hi Peter,

    Thank you for contacting us.
Version 1.6 was released to fix the problems caused by the new fmURLscript privileges; so I you made the changes manually, you shouldn't have any problems anymore.

Please let me know what it is exactly that isn't working. Maybe it's a different issue.
I've also send you a copy of 1.6 so you can try it out and see if it fixes the problem.

    Kind regards,
    Jasper

    hello Jasper,

I did a careful check with FMDiff for changes between v1.5 and v1.6 and corrected those in my solution, but the problem persists on a hosted file (non-hosted v1.6 works fine)

This is in a large solution (LabScores, data separation model) which may be difficult to debug in this respect so I added it in an internally used solution which is single file & simple.

Same problem, works correct on non-hosted file, but a hosted file tries to call upon itself when I click in the calendar and the script fmpCall is fired even with FullAccess

Security settings have been copied in detail from the original file.

Could be just a minor issue that I have missed but any pointers would be appreciated.

met vriendelijke groet / with kind regards

    hello Jasper,

I think I may have found the problem (and a workaround)
I am working from a dev machine with FMPA 15-16-17-18 installed.
Calendar is on the same machine on FMS17.

When I open Calendar.fmp12 in FMPA18, then try to click in the webviewer, it fires up FMPA v16, then it gives the conflict, of course becuase that file is already open in v18

I do not want all my FMP files to open in 17 or 18 as some clients are still running older versions and I develop in their version, so when I tell the Finder what version to use for opening, I do NOT check the box to do this for all similar files.

The solution was to host on an older server, then open in FMPA v16 and it works.

Is there anyway I can force the fmpCall on a specific version or is this a bug in FMPA 17-18?

met vriendelijke groet / with kind regards

    Hi Peter,

The FMP URL protocol is handled by the OS and because FileMaker made some changes to the bundle ID, things go wrong if you mix FMPA with FMP.

Until version16, FileMaker Pro Advanced has the bundle id: com.filemaker.client.advanced12
In version 17, this has been changed to the bundle id: com.filemaker.client12
This is the same as the previous FileMaker Pro versions.
So, most likely, users that have used the FileMaker Pro version, will not have the issue, but developers with FileMaker Pro Advanced, have the issue.

The fix is to tell the URL handler of the OS which program (bundle ID) should be ran when executing the FMP url.

There is a nice app to that and it's called RCDefaultApp.
    http://www.rubicode.com/Software/RCDefaultApp/

Just download and install the program. Then open it from the System Preferences and
select the tab as show in the screenshot and change default program for the fmp url.

Please let me know if this solves the program for you.

    Kind regards,
    Jasper
