Hi, I'm having problems with FMCalendar and FM17. When I click in the Filemaker Webviewer it opens Filemaker 16 and as file is already open within FM17 it shows an error and doesn't permit to interact with Filemaker webviewer

Any sugestion ?

The problem is not specific related to FM Calendar, but to the FMP Protocol.
You probably used FileMaker Pro 16 Advanced in the past.
It's a typical MacOs problem, that even FileMaker can't solve.

The cause Until version16, FileMaker Pro Advanced has the bundle id: com.filemaker.client.advanced12
In version 17, this has been changed to the bundle id: com.filemaker.client12
This is the same as the previous FileMaker Pro versions.

Solution 1 Download RCDefaultApp and change the default app for the FMP protocol (under tab "URLs"

Solution 2 Be sure to make a backup of your system and the files you alter.

Open the terminal and run the following code:

Open the terminal and run the following code:
    cd /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/
    ./lsregister -f -v /Applications/FileMaker\ Pro\ 17\ Advanced/FileMaker\ Pro\
    1. Open the file ~/Library/Preferences/ in a text editor.

    2. Add or alter the following XML block. You can recognize it if "fmp" is defined als LSHandlerURLScheme

    1. Restart your machine

Be aware that the FMP protocol will now only work with FileMaker Pro Advanced 17, and no longer with the 16 Advanced version.

Let us know, if it helped to solve your problem.

    Best regards,
