I have the same problem. Pasting a custom function doesn't work using ClipManager 5 and FileMaker Pro 15 Advanced.

Custom functions must be created first in the file before it can
be used in script.
To do this copy the clip from Clip Manager. Next you open the
"Custom Functions" dialog, via the menu: File > Manage >
You can now paste the custom function.
Save the custom function by pressing on the OK button.
Now you can use the custom function, in your scripts or field
