Clip Manager 4 Won't clip layouts properly
I think I have two issues:
Sometimes Clip Manager says it clipped something and then I don't have the clip showing and it offers to save something when trying to navigate somewhere but I'm not sure what it wants to save.
I hit "get" and I get the source, but not the clip itself, so I can't tell which layout it actually clipped. And therefore it makes it hard to use that layout later to "set".
And it's pretty slow to get the layouts. I understand, there is large amount of data to collect, but I was wondering if it could be faster. :-)

We have improved this comparing to our previous version. With larger clips it takes a while before FileMaker puts everything in the clipboard. When the clipboard is filled, we can start reading it. In case of an XMLO we are reading 2 flavors: the clip and the preview from the clipboard.
Is the preference "record Clip History" on or off?

I turned "Record clip history" back on. Still, I'm only getting the source, no clip.
See attached images.

Hi Agnes,
I've tested your enclosed xmlo file and could perfectly reproduced the problem of not seeing the clip itself. In fact CM4 shortly showed the graphic and then crashed somewhere in the coregraphics routines so I presumed something was wrong with the preview image itself.
I was able to reproduce exactly the same crash
Thread 0 Crashed: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
0 com.apple.CoreGraphics 0x00007fff864148dd CGFontStrikeRelease + 89
1 com.apple.CoreGraphics 0x00007fff86435764 CGFontCacheReset + 81
when copying the clip and asking for a new image from clipboard when copying the layout from FileMaker and pasting in… Apple's Preview application.
The CGFont stuff made me think something was wrong with the fonts in the layout, and after reapplying the same size ánd font to the whole layout, Clip Manager 4 and Apple's Preview were both remaining stable.
So the solution seems to be in correcting the applied fonts in the layout before copying to Clip Manager, probably some corruption lying in a small corner.
Let me know if this solves it for you.
