CM 3 and CM 4 only allows one version
Am I correct in thinking that Clip Manager only focuses on the first copy FMPA opened, and that CM ignores other copies or versions that are opened subsequently? And, in order to change the focus from the first FMPA opened to a different one, you have to close all of the FMPAs, and CM and then reopen them FMPAs in the order you want CM to focus one, and then open CM
Simply stated, I often have more than one copy of FMPA opened and working of different files. So, if I open v10, and then v11, CM will only work with v10. Close every thing, and then Open v11, and then 10, CM will now see v11, but not 10.
I hope my question is clear enoough for you to understand?

CM4 should ignore all versions of FileMaker < 11, as they are not Cocoa.
It does not ignore the clipboard of course, as it doesn't know where it was copied or cut.
But it does not interact ( autoPaste, switch to status menu etc ) with Carbon versions.
So if 10 ánd 11 are running, it should ignore 10.
If 2 FileMakers > 10 are running, you should get a message from CM4 saying it's in trouble when you try auto-paste, and the Occurrence Selector should work in both applications.
Please confirm this if and when you can. If you see that things still aren't OK, let me know.

My point is, I can not use them at the same time. One will work, but the other will not. In order to get the one that isn't working, I have to close the FMPA and the CM for the one that is working before the other one will work on it's respective file.
I know this is hard to understand, at least I know it is hard to describe.
i.e. Open a file in FM 11 and CM 4, and Open a different file in FM 10 and CM 3, and then go to Brian's site and copy a CF into both CMs. One will work on it's open file, and the other will only take you to the CF Edit box.

For a CF from the Brian site, copy the CF, switch to CM4. cmd-n or File > New Clip.
Paste you clip in the source viewer. It will automatically convert you CF clip to the new format.
We will further investigate issues, when switching between the several versions of FileMaker en Clip Manager.
Thanks for your feedback.

We changed the behavior.
If 2 FileMaker Pro's running and one version is a Pro and the other an Advanced, Clip Manager will do the AutoPaste with the advanced version, in all other cases it will return the conflict messages.
We will improve this in future versions of Clip Manager.
