AS3 Quits unexpectedly
I finally did make the switch, and now have my production data running on FMPSA11, and so I have had to make the switch to AS3.
I continue to get unexpected shut-downs of the AutoSender service. Typically everything works fine for a couple of days, and then I come into the office early, and find the AutoSender clients not present on the FMPS admin console. I RDP over to the actual server console, and startup the myFmbutler AutoSender Config application, and the preferences tab reveals that indeed the service has quit (icon is red). Normally, I can just hit the Restart the AS services and all is well - but that also means my customers have been without email services the whole night - a whole shift for our overseas people.
I have the AS services set to "Verbose", so the log files get
quite sizeable. Reviewing them shows AS seems to struggle with
finding the specified fields in the email linkage, Severe
error:
AutoSenderJDBC.checkSource: Exception "null" thrown. Unable to
fetch message: do you have an error in the fieldnames?
I am quite sure the fieldnames are correct, as evidenced that the
system works most of the time.
I have AS3 configured to check for Mail every 10 seconds, and the JDBC Lifetime set to 60 minutes - but would certainly be willing to change this, if it would lead to more stability.
I do have AS configured to handle 9 different databases running on my server.
I would appreciate any suggestions to make AutoSender more stable - I certainly did not see these problems with AS version 2.5. I'm attaching the most recent AS log file.
Thank-you,
Alan Barker

Hi Al,
Typically if you're getting the error you mention, it means that the FileMaker Server returns an error or gives a time-out.
I would suggest to try and lower the frequency of checking for mail, e.g. to 30 seconds, and see whether that makes a difference.
